10 Minute Pizza Pie
Updated: Apr 14, 2020
There's a term restaurants use frequently: "on the fly" which basically means GET THIS MEAL OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Maybe it's because the customer didn't like the way their steak was cooked so they had to remake the dish or maybe the ticket got lost so they're having to move the dish to the front of the line. Today we're making 10 Minute Pizza Pie's for lunch and our reason for it needing to be "on the fly" is because we are literally 3 feet deep in soil trying to work on a few projects we thought we'd get to later down the road. Enter "stay at home" orders and we've moving through yard work like we're on a deadline! We just don't have time (or the energy) to create a meal BUT we do have a delicious pizza we've created using things from +GROCERY.

TIP: We prefer a crispier crust so we brushed our naan bread with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt then baked it for about 2 minutes before putting the rest of the ingredients on. It helps crisp the center of the naan before putting sauce on it. If you're not into crispier crust no worries, just toss everything on and put it in the oven.
10 MINUTE PIZZA PIE, on the fly.
This recipe is for 2 pies but you'll have plenty of ingredients leftover to make more.
Ingredients:
1 package - Roghani Nan naan bread
1 can - tomato sauce
1 C shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 bell pepper, sliced into strips
1/2 onion, sliced into strips
1 C mushrooms, sliced thin
1 t salt
1 t oregano (optional)
1 t Red Chili Pepper Flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 500°.
Place 2 of the naan bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Ladle 3-4 regular spoon fulls of tomato sauce, spread evenly over the naan making sure to leave a small edge on the bread.
Place 1/2 cheese on each piece then top with onions, peppers and mushrooms. (Note: placing ingredients on top of the cheese will cook/roast them. If you are using precooked veggies put them on before you put on the cheese to make sure they don't burn. Sprinkle with oregano, pepper flakes and salt to taste.
Bake on 500° for 5- 8 minutes or until the cheese melts and crust is toasty brown.
Enjoy!
